Director & senior engineer at the Oak Group, Lidia Dabrowski, is passionate about lifting the barriers women continue to face in the engineering profession and leads by example.
She enjoys having two roles at the engineering consulting firm which specialises in HVACR design. The company was established 27 years ago and is based in Sydney and Canberra.
“With my years of experience, I feel a responsibility to advocate for more diversity in our industry,” Lidia explains. “One of my key priorities is mentoring young engineers, particularly women, to help them navigate the challenges of a traditionally male-dominated field. It is possible to run a company and combine those duties with motherhood and family life.”
In addition to all of these responsibilities Lidia is also an accredited NABERS assessor.
“Working in HVACR design has been deeply rewarding and I hope to inspire the next generation of capable and confident female engineers," she says.
