Climatech Group project engineer, Amy O’Connor, began her career working in London as a graduate in 2007.
She made the move to Sydney in 2009 and made the shift to contracting and HVACR design. Her colleagues describe her as a great team player and innovator.
“Variety is what I love most about this industry,” Amy says. “Over the years I’ve worked on office blocks, shopping centres, prisons, a RAAF base, a casino, apartments and many hospitals. Each building has different requirements and their own set of quirks.”
Amy says it is incredibly rewarding to be able to see the finished project.
“Women working in HVACR on the contracting side were quite scarce when I started out so it’s great to see so many smart and capable younger women coming through now.”
