Biljana Stevanovic is the engineering manager for Precise Air Group.
Biljana has worked in the HVACR industry for over 20 years presenting her with plenty of opportunities to manage highly complex mechanical projects.
She believes increasing the representation of women in engineering will introduce a more diverse range of experience and perspectives. “This will lead to more innovative and effective solutions that better serve the needs of our communities,” Biljana says. “My role is to design more effective HVAC systems but also to mentor young engineers, particularly women.”
Biljana loves to bring an innovative design to life and to be challenged to find workable solutions. “I take my responsibility seriously to take a whole-of-building, whole-of-life approach to designing an engineering solution that is cost effective, easy to maintain and uses less energy,” she says.
Her colleagues describe her experience as priceless especially when it comes to guiding and advising builders to get the most effective result. “She can foresee issues in the early stages of design that is when it matters the most,” they said.
Even Biljana admits her role can get incredibly busy with tight timeframes. “But our team is very supportive which is important when you’re trying to satisfy client requirements in an incredibly complex project.”
