Industry leaders from around the globe came together recently to identify the challenges of heat pump deployment.
The topical roundtable examined a wide range of issues from industry standards to training and the refrigerant transition including safety issues surrounding the use of hydrocarbons.
CCN editor, Sandra Rossi, moderated the roundtable which featured Russell Patten, director general of the European Partnership for Energy and the Environment (EPEE), and Steve Yurek, president of the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) in the United States.
Local representatives included Stuart Kirkwood, ANZ district leader for Trane Technologies and current president of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturers of Australia (AREMA) and Mark Padwick, general manager of Wilson Heat Pumps and chair of AREMA’s heat pump group.
A two part video series will be published on the roundtable as well as a special report which commences in the upcoming September edition of CCN magazine.
Sponsored by Refrigerants Australia and Refrigerant Reclaim Australia, the roundtable identifies a long list of issues that need to be addressed as part of the transition to net zero.
The video series will be published next month. Get a glimpse of what to expect here:
