Ventilation and drive technology company, Ziehl-Abegg, has opened a new subsidiary in Nieuwkuijk to facilitate further growth in Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg.
The company's CEO, Peter Fenkl, said that due to substantial growth in turnover and staff numbers the previous office and warehouse in Hedel had become too small.
Managing director of Ziehl-Abegg Benelux, Tino Oirbans, said the new building offers room for further growth and provides a more modern, professional environment for customers and employees.
The German-based company has produced electric drives for more than 100 years and is a global leader in bionic fans, that is fans with blades inspired by nature.
During the opening ceremony Oirbans attributed the team's success to engaged and well qualified sales engineers who partner with customers.
The new building relies on a heat pump installation equipped with ZAplus fans while the roof of the building has 700 solar panels.
Oirbans said clean room technology and big data centres are an important part of the business.
“Hundreds of fans are needed for a new data centre and they are running 24 hours each day, the entire year which is why its important to install fans that consume less energy,” he said.
