After almost a decade with Mitsubishi Electric Australia, Rob Seeley is leaving his position as HVAC state manager for Victoria and Tasmania.

The 30-year industry veteran was able to develop his role over the course of his career from direct engagement with consulting engineers, progressing to lead the entire state of both Victoria and Tasmania.

His role also gave him the unique opportunity to host dealers internationally, which he said had led to wonderful relationships and memories that will live on.

Known as the gentleman of the industry, Rob is universally loved and respected by the HVAC community.

Mitsubishi Electric general manager of national sales, Zane Barron, said Rob and his wife Gwendolyn will be missed by dealers and staff alike.

“Potentially one of the company’s most true gentlemen and just genuinely a lovely fella, Rob is universally appreciated and well-liked from all those that he meets,” Barron said.

“His ability to mentor and lead a team is one of his greatest strengths. Under his stewardship, the Victorian market has grown substantially and as a result, the leadership team have been able to invest in new staff and upgraded offices.

“Rob has been a great fit for the business, team and customers and we are all wishing him the best for his future.”

Looking back at his time at Mitsubishi Electric, Rob said he feels privileged to have worked with such highly professional senior management and a talented and committed team.

He said the product line up is unique in the marketplace in terms of quality and engineering, which has made selling it enjoyable.

“Mitsubishi Electric is a fantastic organisation and has a great team culture who are extremely passionate about what they do,” Seeley said.

“Whilst I’m incredibly sad to be leaving the team, I am excited to watch the business go from strength to strength, particularly across the southern states of Tasmania and Victoria.”
