Panasonic has pulled back the curtain on its new, multifaceted Bathroom Heater and Exhaust Fan range that is set to improve the comfort, freshness and cleanliness of bathrooms around the country.

Built for Australia’s variable climate, the FV-30BY1/FV-30BG3 Bathroom Heater and Exhaust Fan keeps the bathroom warm in winter and circulates a cool breeze through its low-noise electric DC fan in the summer, while ensuring a dehumidified bathroom all-year round.

Bringing a product to market equipped to suit the unique needs of the Australian climate was top-of- mind for Panasonic, according to Ken Onoe, product marketing manager, Air Conditioning at Panasonic Australia.

“Bolstering our Australian range with a bathroom product equipped to deal with hot summers and cold winters is so important to Panasonic,” Onoe said.

“We know that comfort is essential for our customers, and we’re excited to introduce this new heating and exhaust range that maintains its utility and purpose across all seasons.”

Panasonic’s new Bathroom Heater and Exhaust Fan optimises year-round comfort and is perfect for freestanding homes, including new builds and renovations.

The ‘Heat’ function can be turned on to warm up your bathroom in a few minutes, with the average time to reach 25°C taking approximately eight minutes – ensuring that feeling the chill on a winter morning is a thing of the past.

Cool air is circulated through a low-noise electric fan, ensuring comfort and providing ventilation and air movement in the more humid months.

Australians can enjoy a dry and comfortable bathroom year-round with the built-in ‘Dry Mode’ feature. Operating heating and ventilation simultaneously, the fan dehumidifies moist air following a hot bath or shower, preventing the growth of mould, expelling odours and demisting mirrors.

‘Dry Mode’ can also be a lifesaver when dealing with damp laundry, allowing up to 3.5 kilograms of wet clothes and towels to dry1 in as little as three hours.

With air quality an increasingly important consideration amongst Australian consumers, the FV-30BG3 also incorporates an anti-bacterial filter, which inhibits pollutants in the air.

Mounted into the ceiling, the Panasonic Bathroom Heater and Exhaust Fan has been designed to enhance any bathroom setting with a modern, streamlined style.

The heater is made from long-lasting PTC material, ensuring low maintenance and durability in all conditions coming with a 3-year manufacturer warranty.

It has temperature control to ensure that the unit is protected from overheating. Unlike traditional bathroom heaters, the Panasonic solution does not incorporate a halogen lamp or glass - ensuring there is no risk of injury caused by burns or lamp breakage - and has optimised floor-to-ceiling heat coverage.

Both the FV-30BY1 and FV-30BG3 heaters come with a wireless remote control. With a slim, magnetic design, the water-resistant remote can hang on the heater or the wall.

RF wireless technology enables the remote to operate the heater without directly pointing at it. The remote can be used to set timer operation to avoid energy waste and ensure that your bathroom is the perfect temperature when you want to use it.

“The FV-30BY1 is perfect for small-to-medium sized bathrooms where a single directional flow suffices. For larger bathrooms, the FV-30BG3 has adjustable air direction to ensure all corners receive the same levels of coverage,” Onoe said.

The FV-30BY1 heater is priced at $527 RRP and the FV-30BG3 is $879 RRP. Both models are available now from selected retailers and Panasonic Air Conditioning distributors.
