GE Appliances, a Haier company, has invested $34 million to expand manufacturing and create 150 new jobs at its wholly owned subsidiary, Monogram Refrigeration LLC (MRO), located in Selmer, Tennessee.
The investment will increase the size of the plant and add new fabrication equipment and an assembly line.
The expansion will also double production capacity.
Construction will begin immediately, and new production will begin in the third quarter of 2025.
In 2018 GE invested $9.3 million at the facility to expand production facilities and create 210 new jobs at Selmer.
A further $5 million was spent in 2021 to increase the production of its new Zoneline vertical air conditioners, commonly used in hotels and private residential facilities.
