Low-charge systems can cut ammonia charge, but they are difficult to control which is why Danfoss has released NeoCharge.

It is a simple yet groundbreaking solution that allows contractors and facility owners to give any type of refrigeration system low-charge capabilities.

This plug n’ play solution allows facility owners to cut both ammonia charge and energy costs or expand their facility’s capacity using the existing refrigeration system.

In fact, energy costs can be reduced by up to 20 per cent compared to standard DX systems, and system capacity can be increased by up to 40 per cent using the same ammonia charge.

Just as NeoCharge cuts an industrial refrigeration facility's costs, it will lower its climate impact without requiring an overhaul of the refrigeration system.

Contractors, consultants, and facility owners can breathe new life into existing systems.

Danfoss advisor, Morten Juel Skovrup, said it’s a fully plug n’ play solution that works with both classic recirculating and direct expansion systems.

“NeoCharge lowers the entry barrier to low-charge capabilities significantly and opens up opportunities for a much wider range of operators to play their role in the transition towards a more climate-friendly industry,” Skovrup said.

NeoCharge is easy to install in any shape of air cooler: traditionally overfeed or in a direct expansion system.

Plus it can retrofit existing systems or can be deployed in new builds, has smaller system footprint, liquid separator, and piping.
