The Natural Refrigerants Company has just commissioned two of Advansor’s new SteelXL CO2 systems which are designed to provide cooling, freezing, air conditioning and heating in a single frame.
The SteelXL can deliver cooling power of 2,7 MW, freezing capacity of 1,9 MW, air-conditioning at 0,5 MW, and heating up to 4 MW.
Industrial facilities requiring greater capacity can scale up to 50 MW or more in parallel, ensuring adaptability for various industries such as food processing, distribution centres or the pharmaceutical industry.
Both units commissioned by the Natural Refrigerants Company have heat recovery and hot gas defrost.
The first system was a 65kwr LT and 370 KWR LT installed at Gratti s new Pizza manufacturing plant in Coburg, Melbourne.
Last month Natural Refrigerants Company commissioned a new steel XL rack 460 Kwr Mt and 420 Kwr Lt which was installed by Inner City Refrigeration at a new Cold Express storage facility.
Natural Refrigerants Company CEO, Ian Tuena, said it took just three hours to commission the racks and they are running beautifully.
“Because everything on these racks are pre commissioned and fully tested it only took us three hours to commission and there were no problems,” he said.
“Best of all it operates entirely on the natural refrigerant CO2.”
The new SteelXL is an industrial giant and is designed for high energy-efficiency and sustainability.
It requires fewer units for installation and maintenance, reducing both investment and operational costs.
Advansor’s SteelXL was recently upgraded with improved piping which can significantly reduce pressure loss increasing energy efficiency.
It also incorporates the latest energy-saving technologies, such as Advansor ejector, Liquid Power Cooler, and Ultra-Low Superheat.
The new SteelXL is highly configurable with multiple options and combinations.
All components and options are calculated, tested and validated individually and in combination according to vibrations, noise, assembly, high temperatures and high pressure demands, and the whole product is CE-marked and I/O tested.
The SteelXL features a minimised length to fit into more compact machinery rooms. No safety risk management is required, so it can be placed directly next to the facilities where needed.
To ensure a stable construction that is easy to handle with a crane and forklift, the frame is fully welded, with all functions and options integrated within it and the electrical panel mounted on it.
All controllers are fully programmed from the factory and documented for fast and easy installation.
