Airefrig Australia recently released the latest new product from the CPS Smart Tools Range, the ABM-HOOD-200 Volume Flow Hood.
Aptly named the EasyHood, it quickly and easily measures air volume whilst simultaneously measuring temperature, humidity, wet bulb and dew point.
Airefrig Australia general manager, Stephen Cross, said the airflow hood is extremely accurate, very affordable and easy to use.
“What impressed me about the ABM EasyHood is how quickly it records the conditions and the standardised reports which can be easily downloaded and sent out from job site via your smart phone or tablet which will save technicians a lot of time”,” he said.
Traditional flow hood design has typically used differential pressure technology and built-in user interfaces to gather and present airflow information.
In contrast, the EasyHood utilises the popular ABM-200 Airflow and Environmental Meter (integrated within the hood) which quickly takes measurements and downloads standard reports to your smart phone or device using the free CPS Link App.
From here, the reports can be exported and emailed directly from the job site without the costs of a proprietary interface.
“The days of service companies having only one flow hood for their fleet, renting hoods or subcontracting out the work can be a thing of the past with the new EasyHood. It’s accuracy and affordability will enable most HVAC companies the luxury of ownership,” Cross said.
The EasyHood with expansion hood fitted weighs in at only 2.4kg and comes with a protective carry case. Accuracy is verified in accordance with ANSI/AMCA standards.
