The new Kirby Multiwave outdoor multi-compressor condensing unit from Heatcraft Australia offers the supermarket/cold storage segments an entry level CO2 refrigeration solution that can also deliver a 30 per cent saving across the refrigeration plant costs.
Heatcraft Australia commercial manager, Brett Hedge, said the savings come from the elimination of a plantroom, which can cost in excess of $60,000 in construction costs.
“This compact, all-in-one solution can be installed on the roof of a tight installation or at the back of house,” he said.
“The product platform is perfectly suited to small format supermarket applications.”
The innovative design includes a low-medium temperature rack system, condenser and switchboard all in one, utilising low GWP CO2 and R134a.
Hedge said the design minimises on-site installation costs and the fully configured and compliant electrical switchboard is RoHs and CE compliant.
The Kirby Multiwave will be available for order mid-2016.
“We’ve responded to the increasing demand for lower cost and environmentally efficient solutions as end users move away from conventional central plant solutions for their refrigeration system design,” Hedge said.
Customers attending ARBS can come to the Heatcraft Stand for more information and to view 3D models.
“A physical Multiwave unit is currently on display at our Heatcraft Milperra Innovation Centre,” he said.
