These past few weeks I have had the opportunity to view the industry from the seat of a judging panel and let me tell you – it is definitely the best seat in town.
I get a cosy, closeup view of the industry's best “at work” which makes it a very different experience to my usual role as editor. As a reporter, I simply report on the HVACR industry, I don't judge (well I try not to).
But being a judge for CCN's HVACR Leadership Awards has been both inspirational and insightful.
Its always inspiring to see others strive toward excellence, and its insightful because the nominees are sharing their vision of how they are working to make a difference.
This is why the whole awards program has been so incredibly uplifting. I think the real prize is the opportunity to simply be a part of such an exciting awards program.
Thank you to everyone that nominated. Every entry was exceptional, but only a few can win. The finalists were announced last week in a special preview of the big event which takes place on Friday, August 14, 2015. This is when we announce the winners.
While we tried to limit the number of finalists to two per category, it wasn't always feasible so like everything in life there are exceptions.
It was particularly tough when it came to selecting finalists for the main award – HVACR Leader of the Year.
Even if you are not a finalist you can still show your support by attending the CCN breakfast event and innovation forum at Royal Randwick Racecourse.
