Oomiak Refrigeration technician Shanae Houlden is fully qualified.
She worked at a number of HVACR companies during her apprenticeship which made her realise how diverse the industry is, not to mention the range of opportunities that are available.
“I made the move to industrial refrigeration in my third year and since then have been given opportunities I never knew existed,” she says.
“The opportunities for career progression seem endless.”
Shanae says HVACR is a great environment to work in because there is so much to learn, which keeps it interesting.
In the future Shanae hopes to pass her skills on to her daughter.
Another fridgie in the family sounds like a great idea.
