Temperzone took stock of a range of Hitachi chillers last month, which means there is no waiting time for deliveries.
A standard air cooled screw chiller, cooling only, (112kw to 412kw) is available now, without the 16-week delivery time.
Hitachi Samurai Chillers are manufactured by Hitachi Air conditioning Product Europe (HAPE) and the full range includes air cooled – either cooling only (12 models from 112kw to 618kw) – or heat pump (12 models from 106kw to 585kw).
They are Eurovent certified and listed and have been successfully sold into all major European countries including the UK and Spain.
While Temperzone’s initial stock will include cooling only standard air cooled screw chillers from 112kw to 412kw, the full range including all options is available on a manufacture to order basis.
The initial stock of chillers offer a range of features including:
Precise temperature control to +/- 0.5 degree for both comfort and process control;
Wide range of capacity modulation. The advanced controls have a variable capacity from 15 to 100 per cent by modulating slide valve;
Electronic expansion valve fitted standard for further energy saving and excellent control under all temperature conditions;
DC inverter fan fitted standard offering energy saving mode and quiet mode (blasts are also reduced by controlling the rotation speed of the fan);
Hitachi's fool-proof screw compressors use female and male rotors that are 3D precisely machined through laser to ensure they provide the most efficient compression.
No oil pump is required as compressor oil is circulated by differential pressure and it provides great seal between rotors as well as lubrication for the heavy grade bearings for long life and high reliability.
Less than one per cent of oil is carried over thanks to the patented cyclone oil separator which also improves the overall heat transfer; Central station (CSC 5S easy stand alone control); BMS interface (modbus and lonworks protocol gateway).
Samurai chillers also boast a small footprint with great accessibility for easy servicing.
Due to the careful design of each component, the Hitachi Samurai chillers achieve an exceptionally high value of cooling capacity per installation area, the company says.
Even though it boasts a small mounting space, all major components are easily accessible. Another feature is reduced refrigerant quantity.
Samurai chillers use a plate-type heat exchanger as an evaporator. These are much more compact than the conventional heat exchanger tubes and shells.
With the same capacity, they need much less gas charge.
Continuous capacity control is based on precise control of the water outlet temperature, depending on the thermal requirements of the load.
Through its continuous power control, the Samurai provides exactly the requested cooling capacity at all times. This mean excellent partial load performance.
Programming is also easy as all operating parameters of the device are fully configurable and this simple approach leads to reliability that is unique in the market.
European-designed chillers also have a range of custom options, such as a pump and buffer tank factory fitted for single circuit chiller, to save on-site labour.
Since Temperzone took over the Hitachi commercial air conditioning business in Australia in 2009, it has been looking after all the sales, service and logistics for Hitachi’s residential and commercial products with the same dedication.
With representation in all states and territories, its sales team is ready to service all its valued customer base. For information go to www.temperzone.com.au.
