Regulator Australia has taken delivery of a new Yamaha I-Pulse M20 pick & place robot.
The company's CEO, Neil Kenny, said the robot places the electronic components on the Printed Circuit Boards.
"This machine is really impressive with a placement speed of 20,000 plus components per hour," he said.
"That’s five components per second. It has a placement accuracy of +/-0.025mm or in the old measurement 0.001 inch.
"This new machine replaces one of our old machines which died three months ago and caused a manufacturing backlog.
"Now every thing is back up to speed and stock is back on the shelf," Kenny said.
