The European body for contractors, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration European Association (AREA), has launched a helpful guide on th new F-Gas regulations which begin on January 1, 2015.
The guide addresses all aspects of the regulations relevant to contractors and also has input from the European Commission.
AREA president Per Jonasson said the guide is a living document that will be updated as legislation is adopted.
He said the guide includes useful tools such as a conversion table weight-C02-eq for the most commonly used refrigerants, a flowchart on leak check frequency and a table summarizing certification requirements.
AREA also provides an opinion on how Member States should interpret and apply certain provisions, notably on the delivery of f-gases and on the sale of pre-charged equipment.
