Join this engaging panel session at ARBS entitled Strategic Considerations for Refrigerants where industry experts delve into the core of sustainable refrigeration.

Gain valuable insights into navigating refrigerant choices, optimising system health, and advancing reclamation practices for a future-focused approach.

It is an opportunity to be part of the conversation on balancing performance with environmental responsibility, ensuring system longevity, and embracing innovations that drive sustainability.

Topics to be covered range from refrigerant choices and optimising refrigerant health to advancing reclamation practices for a sustainable future.

This session will be held next Wednesday on day two of the ARBS seminar program.

Participants include A-Gas managing director, Brett Ferguson, who has a background in the chemical industry spanning 26 years.

His interests include the role that Lifecycle Refrigerant Management (LRM) can play to ensure a sustainable future for this critical industry.

Scantec Refrigeration Technologies Pty Ltd managing director, Stefan Jensen, is another panellist for this session.

Jensen began his career with Danfoss as a project engineer and is a Life Member of AIRAH and an Engineers Australia Fellow.

He has authored over 40 technical papers for AIRAH, IIR, DKV and IIAR conferences.

The third panellist for this session is Daikin lead engineer, Gary Knox. He has more than 30 years of experience in mechanical engineering and represents industry on Standards Australia Committees for refrigerants, energy efficiency, ventilation and demand response.

Knox will be joined by Refrigerants Australia executive director, Greg Picker.

He began this professional journey working with the United Nations Framework on Climate Change.

Picker has over 20 years’ experience in climate change and energy policy, with a particular focus on HFCs. Prior to accepting the role with Refrigerant Australia, Picker worked with AECOM and the federal government.

The final panellist is industry veteran Ian Tuena from the Natural Refrigerants Company.

Tuena has 40+ years of practical experience in the commercial and industrial refrigeration industry and has always worked with natural refrigerants.

This includes installation and commissioning of the earliest and still operating parallel compression Transcritical CO2 system in Melbourne.

He has also trained many technicians currently operating within the industry.
