Active Air Rentals has released its own electric blower heater (EBH) after investing more than $3 million in product innovation and research last year.

The Australian designed and built EBH addresses safety concerns raised by the company in response to inferior products currently on the market.

The company's director, Brad Sweeny, said the engineering team at Active Air Rentals tasked themselves with designing a more reliable and safer model that complies with Australian safety standards using well-established components.

“We were tired of hearing about cheap components failing in current EBH models," he said. "These inferior parts aren’t able to handle the heat produced when these units are operating and would often burn out, causing the EBH to fail posing a potential fire risk.

“Often these units are operated in out of sight areas; it is just a recipe for disaster." The new 21kW EBH developed by Active Air Rentals includes safety features that set it apart from other models including a five minute timer that ensures the fan cools the unit down for five minutes once the unit is switched off.

It also has indicator lights to provide simple fault finding when something is not running correctly.

Active Air used high-quality switch gear that can handle higher temperature overload and larger housing, making the unit more ergonomic which requires less bending in delivery and installation

Sweeny said heavier cable was used so the unit is less susceptible to burning out.

"With the safety enhancements we've made to our EBH's, we stand behind our product with 100% confidence, knowing our customers have a quality heating solution designed and built in-house using well-established components and that we have vigorously tested," he said.
