HRS HEVAC has announced the release of a new domestic hot water buffer vessel with an internal epoxy resin coating that is approved by the UK's Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS).
Known as the AquaStor and manufactured from mild steel, the unit’s internal rubber coating offers significant benefit with greater durability than glass and a more cost effective solution than stainless steel alternatives, HRS HEVAC says.
The Aquastor RC is flexible in application and can be used in five operational modes covering buffer vessel, electric heating of domestic hot water, electric pocket heating elements, tube heater and combined electric immersion/tube heater functions.
Standard storage capacities from 300 to 6000 litres are also available along with a choice of insulation options.
HRS says the vessels offer excellent performance and reliability with a working temperature of up to 85°C and a flexible jacket thickness.
Reliability is further assured with a five-year warranty on the tank and internal RC coating. The vessels have standard working pressure of seven bar.
To ensure efficient operation, both the bottom dished end and manhole on the standard version of the AquaStor RC vessels are provided with removable insulation.
Installation is made easier as tanks are delivered fully protected with plastic film coating and have all insulation and thermal equipment pre-mounted.
HRS HEVAC offers an efficient customisation service to complement the range of standard tank configurations and sizes available.
Units can be manufactured to meet the exact working pressure and capacity required for a given application.
Founded in 1981, the HVAC arm of the HRS Group offers a wide range of plate heat exchangers, hot water and heat transfer systems.
