Italian-based manufacturer of chiller units and computer room air conditioning the Blue Box Group has built its reputation on energy efficiency and innovation.
The Blue Box Group was the first company to design and build chillers with screw compressors in Italy.
This innovation brought significant benefits in terms of product reliability and noise reduction, the company says.
Other innovations from Blue Box include packaged air conditioning units, brazed plate heat exchangers on large capacity chillers, patented defrost systems and modular R410A chillers with pre-engineered options.
Blue Box's two flagship product ranges are Tetris air cooled chillers and Datatech inverter computer room air conditioning units.
Tetris modular chillers provide a rapid response for fast-track projects and emergency chiller replacement projects.
There are many versions of Tetris chillers, with 26 basic sizes offering cooling capacities from 110 to 930kW.
Pre-engineered options include heat pump, integrated hydraulic module, total or partial heat recovery and free cooling.
Further energy efficiencies are achieved with options such as electronic expansion valves and electronically commutated (EC) axial fans.
EC fans provide up to 15 per cent energy saving per fan, as well as less noise and finer control of air flow.
The Datatech CRAC unit comes standard with DC inverter compressor with capacity modulation between 30 to 130 per cent, EC plug fan, electronic expansion valve and optimised refrigeration heat exchangers.
There are four models available from 12kW to 27kW.
They are ideal for small server rooms and computer rooms alike.
Blue Box says its manufacturing processes are under continuously monitoring and are in strict accordance with procedures required by ISO9001 certification.
All products must pass advanced running test before delivery. The Blue Box test lab is the state of art for testing prototypes and units.
Its climate controlled facility can accommodated any unit and test its capacity and performance from -15°C to 50°C.
Key components are procured in Europe to maintain strict quality control. Danfoss compressors, ebm-papst fans and Carel controllers are just a few examples of quality components used on Blue Box units and these components are also well supported here in Australia.
Apart from excellent built quality, Blue Box products are also included in the worldwide Eurovent certification program.
This independent certification program guarantees a high standard and ensures all chiller performance data is certified and validated.
Blue Box products entered the Australian HVAC market 15 years ago and were distributed by Hirotec.
Blue Box chillers and CRAC units are installed and operating in many public, institutional and commercial buildings across the country.
Sydney-based Sustainable Air Conditioning has recently been appointed Blue Box’s Australian distributor.
Sustainable Air Conditioning will continue to provide ongoing support to existing Blue Box customers and promote new business opportunities in the local air conditioning market.
