Trying to select highlights from the 2014 ARBS Exhibition for this month’s special magazine feature has been a tough task.

As I sorted through hundreds of photographs and found myself surrounded by a mountain of recorded interviews (not to mention video footage), I had to remind myself that ARBS is only three days long. The suitcase of notes I had collected during the event made it look like I was documenting an epic journey that took me halfway around the globe.

My return to work wasn’t exactly dignified or inconspicuous. I struggled to look professional while dumping an entire suitcase of notes and brochures on my desk. Notwithstanding space restrictions and tight deadlines, I did complete the ARBS feature doing my best to capture all of the energy and excitement of the event in only 30 pages. In reality,
I could have filled 60 pages.

If this month’s ARBS Review isn’t enough, stay tuned for CCN’s WebTV coverage from ARBS which will be posted online later this month. Get your copy by subscribing at www.climatecontrolnews.com.au.

Heat exchangers also feature in this issue, and if you are concerned about the HFC phasedown check out the story on page 29. It outlines the new gases currently being tested as part of the transition to fourth generation gases. Putting a refrigerant roadmap in place is unavoidable and CCN hopes to make that task easier by publishing a special R32 feature next month as well as hosting a special session on new refrigerants at the CCN Live conference to be held in Sydney on August 13, 2014.

Unfortunately, all of the recent ARBS activity has overshadowed CCN Live 2014. It is set to be an informative and confronting event that shouldn’t be missed.
