Carrier has introduced its latest high-efficiency screw chiller, the AquaForce 30XW-V, reinforcing the company’s position as a leader in the water-cooled chillers market.
With a capacity of 590-840kW, the AquaForce 30XW-V screw chiller incorporates Carrier's innovative Greenspeed technology, which delivers high performance and optimal energy consumption in demanding industrial and commercial settings.
Using Greenspeed variable frequency drive (VFD) technology, the AquaForce 30XW-V is a premium solution for installers, consultants and building owners who require outstanding efficiency and operational performance.
The inverter-driven, twin-rotor screw compressors allow the precise matching of capacity and building load changes and significantly reduce unit power input, especially at part load, achieving an integrated part load value (IPLV) of 10.
This efficiency level can reduce a building’s air conditioning energy consumption by up to about 30 per cent compared to a chiller that uses a fixed-speed screw compressor system.
The AquaForce 30XW-V screw chiller offers industrial and commercial customers a best-in-class solution for underground railway systems, hotels and office buildings, as well as retrofit projects.
“The AquaForce 30XW-V with Greenspeed technology represents Carrier’s continuous innovation and technology leadership in developing efficient, reliable and environmentally responsible solutions for buildings and infrastructure projects,” Damitha Sajeewa, national business development manager for commercial sales, said.
Based on budget and return on investment analysis, AquaForce with Greenspeed technology offers a best-in-class solution with ROI achieved in less than two years compared to traditional alternatives, Sajeewa said.
The AquaForce 30XW-V variable speed screw chiller is a compact solution for energy-efficient building retrofit projects. With a width of approximately 1.2 meters, the AquaForce 30XW-V can easily pass through standard door openings and installed in small spaces.
The AquaForce 30XW-V features Carrier’s new colour touch pilot control, a new generation of integrated controls that offers customers a user-friendly full-colour touch screen interface with advanced web capability and easy access to all unit parameters from a clear single-screen display.
Its heat mode controls adjust compressor capacity to maintain a constant leaving-condenser water temperature of as much as 50°C.
As a new member of the Carrier variable speed product family, the AquaForce 30XW-V is available in customised AdvanTE3C solutions.
The AdvanTE3C Solution Centre was launched in Asia in 2011 to provide tailor-made sustainable building system solutions to address specific customer applications and optimise chiller plant efficiency.
Sajeewa said these capabilities underscore Carrier’s commitment to improving the environmental performance of its products and solutions to help achieve a sustainable society and protect the natural environment for future generations.
