Private equity investment firm, Triton, has officially announced the formation of DencoHappel effective from August 3, 2015.

Last October Triton acquired the heat exchanger division of the GEA Group including GEA Denco.

The air treatment part of the heat exchanger business will operate separately under the new name DencoHappel.

"These two names Denco and Happel are well known and both stand for high quality and reliability," the company said in a statement.

"Denco is known as an expert in providing solutions for the control of air quality, temperature and humidity in highly sensitive areas. The name Happel goes back to the GEA founder, Otto Happel. Many companies bear the term Happel in their name."

All contact and phone numbers will remain the same, simply replace @GEA.com with @DencoHappel.com in emails.

DencoHappel has over 1,700 employees globally with manufacturing facilities in Germany, the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Turkey, China and India, as well as sales organisations and distributors in more than 50 countries.

In July, the GEA Group announced a restructure known as the“Fit for 2020” initiative, which represented a fundamental shift in the company’s internal structure as well as its external relations.

The GEA Group has bundled its operations into two new business areas – equipment and solutions. GEA chief executive Jürg Oleas said that for customers, the restructure means a single national organisation per country as a central point of contact covering the entire product portfolio.
