Daikin has launched its new Ururu Sarara 7 range of split system air conditioners in Australia.

The Ururu Sarara 7 (2.5kW) is the first air conditioner in Australia to achieve a 7 star “Super Efficiency” rating making it the most energy efficient in the country today, the company said.

With increasing concerns over the environmental impact of high Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerant, Daikin has identified R32 as the most promising next generation refrigerant for residential and commercial air conditioners.

Compared to commonly used refrigerants such as R410A, R32 has a much lower GWP, which provides improved energy efficiency, improved high ambient temperature operation and allows a smaller refrigerant volume for the same refrigeration performance.

Thanks to Daikin’s innovative technology and the high refrigerant performance of the R32, Ururu Sarara 7’s 2.5kW model has a rated power consumption of just 420 Watts for 2,500 Watts of cooling capacity for an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of 5.95, making it Australia’s most energy efficient air conditioner.

In November 2012, Daikin became the first air conditioning manufacturer to launch R32 products and in doing so were awarded the Grand Prize for “Excellence in Energy Efficiency and Conservation” by the Energy Conservation Centre of Japan.

The Ururu Sarara 7 range are more than just air conditioners, they are indoor climate control systems which provide temperature control, ventilation, air purification and humidity control through dehumidification or humidification.

Humidity control is an essential part of creating a comfortable environment and Ururu Sarara’s dehumidification function ensures humidity is lowered without changing room temperature.

Daikin’s Ururu Sarara 7 range also has a sophisticated air purification filter to improve air quality by absorbing most microscopic particles, helping to remove odours and reducing potential for allergies.

The new range of air conditioners are quiet and deliver an improved air flow pattern, reaching the furthest corners of a room.

It is equipped with a two-area intelligent eye which directs air flow away from occupants to reduce direct draughts and automatically activates economy mode when no presence is detected.
