Brookfield Place Perth has been awarded a coveted 5 Star NABERS rating for excellence in energy efficiency.
It was built targeting a 4 Star rating but innovative design and successful on-site facilities management by Brookfield led to the property exceeding its initial targets within a year.
Located in the heart of Perth, Brrokfield Place is a 45-level office tower with a net lettable area of approximately 86,000 square metres and the anchor tenant is BHP Billiton.
The chief operating officer for Brookfield Office Properties Australia, Kurt Wilkinson, said the ultimate objective is to maximise energy efficiency and resource efficiency at all of its properties.
In addition to the 5 Star energy rating, Brookfield Place was awarded a 4 Star rating for water efficiency.
Construction is continuing on Brookfield Place Tower 2.
