Kenelec Scientific held a number of seminars early this month on real-time monitoring technologies focusing primarily on particle contamination in cleanroom and sterile environments.
Particulate contamination inside cleanrooms or clean air devices is a serious concern for companies manufacturing or processing sterile products.
The ability to make real-time informed decisions on the nature and concentration of particulate contamination is important for quality control and production.
The seminars, which were held in Sydney and Melbourne, outlined effective environmental monitoring plans and systems utilising technologies that meet regulatory requirements such as recent updates to ISO 14644 and ISO 14644-9.G
International guest speakers included TSI VP of marketing, Darrick Niccum, who talked about Rapid Micro Method (RMM) detection based on Laser Induced Fluorescence (LIF) and validation testing and the senior regulatory compliance expert from Vaisala, Paul Daniel, who talked about temperature sensors and temperature mapping.
Products on display included the Biotrak Real-Time Viable Particle Counter which detects airborne particles.
Kenelec Scientific general manager Chris Lay said there is a wide range of HVAC specific products including ventilation test and indoor air quality instruments.
