The Energy Valve is a pressure independent control valve which measures and manages coil energy by using an embedded electromagnetic or ultrasonic flow meter, along with supply and return water temperature sensors.
The Energy Valve also has the patented Power Control and Belimo Delta T Manager logics built-in to the smart actuator that monitors coil performance and optimises the available energy of the coil by maintaining the Delta T.
In addition to the standard analogue signal and feedback wiring, it can communicate its data to the Building Management System via BACnet MS/TP or BACnet IP.
The built-in web server collects up to 13 months of data that can be downloaded to external tools for further optimisation and analysis. Some of these features contribute to LEED points.
The Energy Valve is now available in nominal flows from 0.35 l/s to 45 l/s and diameters from DN15 to DN150.
It combines five functions of measuring, controlling, balancing, closing and monitoring energy into a simple installation-friendly device.
Its trend-setting technology ensures maximum comfort, provides transparency, enhances efficiency and lowers operating costs by maintaining the end device “Delta T”.
The Belimo Energy Valve can provide thermal heat transfer energy data allowing users the ability to see and document system performance during commissioning and over time.
Energy waste is identified and eliminated by modifying settings within the Energy Valve logic and by sharing the data with an Energy Management Control System.
