Aggreko, a leader in the supply of temporary power and temperature control, has appointed George Whyte to the role of managing director for the Australia-Pacific region.
Whyte will oversee the the company’s Australian, New Zealand and Pacific Islands operations.
The announcement follows the appointment of Asterios Satrazemis, the region’s former managing director, to the position of regional director for Aggreko Americas.
Satrazemis is responsible for the company’s operations in North, Central and South America.
Whyte has been working with Aggreko in Australia for 13 years in a range of capacities, from sales consultant through to his most recent posting as area general manager for NSW, Victoria and South Australia.
“I’m excited to be leading Aggreko’s business in Australia and the Pacific as these markets further mature and as we navigate the changing landscape of the respective local economies,” Whyte said.
“Customers in our core markets are looking closely at how they can minimise cost while maximising value; we have to be more conscious than ever of delivering value.”
