The new Intrinsically Safe (IS) field display from Michell Instruments is an easy to install solution that can be used in hazardous areas.
Primarily intended to act as a monitor for a locally installed intrinsically safe dew-point transmitter – such as the Easidew TX IS or Easidew PRO IS – the loop-powered display is certified by ATEX, FM and IECEx for use in hazardous areas and has an IP66 rating.
It also complements Michell’s Liquidew IS and Promet IS process analysers for moisture measurements in process gases and liquids, as it can be installed either as part of the sampling system or in a convenient position nearby.
The monitor can be configured to display measurements in ppmV (for moisture in gases), ppmW (for moisture in liquids), as well as dew point in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.
The easy-to-read LCD display with four digits gives scope for showing wide ranges and high resolutions.
A range of optional extras are also available including a loop-powered backlight to allow easy readings in low-light conditions, a key pad for re-ranging and also a tag-plate to aid identification.
