Standards Australia CEO, Emma Harrington, has resigned to focus on new opportunities.
Harrington joined Standards Australia less than six months ago.
Announcing her appointment in April this year, Standards Australia said Harrington has a history of transforming companies, engaging with employees, customers and stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes.
Standards Australia board chair, Tracey Gramlick, issued a statement thanking Harrington for her contributions.
“While Emma was only with us for a relatively brief period, under her leadership we have moved forward with our plans to be an even stronger contributor to economic growth as Australia’s peak standards body,” Gramlick said.
“The board will take steps immediately to start a search for our next CEO. We are not appointing an interim or acting CEO through this transition and instead, the board will be working directly with the executive leadership team supporting them on achieving our shared short and mid-term strategic goals.”
