A-Gas Canada has appointed Andrew Stride, director of operations, at its new facility in Ontario.
Stride is a licensed engineer with over a decade of experience. He joined A-Gas in 2021 as engineering manager.
The managing director & president of A-Gas in the Americas, Mike Armstrong, said Stride will bring the company’s global best practices to the new site.
A-Gas Canada commercial director, Jim Flowers, said it was important to employ a local professional.
“Andrew’s expertise will allow us to deliver greater value for our customers, faster,” he said.
Prior to joining A-Gas, Stride held technical, design, field and project engineering roles at a number of organisations including Matheson, Air Liquide, and Baker Hughes.
Stride also holds an MBA from Texas McCombs School of Business, a Master of Engineering from Texas A&M University, a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
The A-Gas facility in Ontario is currently under construction. When completed, it will have the capability to process and clean recovered refrigerant from the local market. Used refrigerant sent to the facility will undergo chemical analysis at the onsite laboratory and will be reclaimed to AHRI-700 standards.
