Daikin Applied Americas has made a majority investment in Modular Comfort Systems, a leading provider of customised HVAC solutions for consulting engineers, contractors, and building owners.
Modular Comfort Systems' expertise in designing and delivering high-efficiency systems, and Daikin's decarbonisation technology and capabilities, will help customers trim both their utility bills and carbon footprints.
Modular Comfort Systems has been a leading sales engineering firm in upstate New York for over 50 years.
The company’s president, Chris Miller, said joining Daikin will allow Modular to build out its technology to further support customers.
"Customers can expect enhanced support and distribution capabilities, backed by Daikin's global resources to improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and optimize building systems,” he said.
Modular Comfort Systems provides specialised solutions for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems for commercial, institutional and industrial applications.
As part of the acquisition, the Daikin Applied service technicians in the region will join the company.
