BITZER is set to acquire Danish controls company, OJ Electronics, with the transaction likely to close at the end of 2023.
BITZER is broadening its scope for electronic components especially in air handling and floor heating systems.
Originally founded in 1964, OJ Electronics is a technology and innovation leader in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of control solutions for ventilation systems and electric floor heating.
The product portfolio consists of controls and panels for air handling units as well as drives for fans and compressors in ventilation systems and thermostats for electric floor heating.
BITZER Group CEO, Christian Wehrle, said family orientation and innovation is what makes both companies successful.
“We are sure that this cultural fit will lead to even greater success,” Wehrle said.
By investing in energy-efficient and smart electronic components, he said it shows BITZER’s strong profitable growth strategy which is about more than the compressor.
OJ Electronics CEO, Erik Damsgaard, said BITZER has seen great potential in the strategic direction of OJ Electronics.
Damsgaard said both organisations have a shared set of values and industry similarities.
He said the deal represents a mutual strengthening of competencies that will be highly beneficial for both companies and their customers.
OJ Electronics has over 180 employees based at its headquarters in Sønderborg, Denmark.
The developer and manufacturer of electronic components for ventilation and electric floor heating systems also has a strong focus on customization.
