This year Fujitsu General is celebrating its 25-year partnership with cricket legend Mark Taylor.

Taylor’s ambassadorship was originally established in 1998 and is one of the longest personal endorsement agreements in Australia. To mark this special occasion, Fujitsu General is giving away $25,000 to 10 lucky winners, as part of this year’s free money promotion, which commenced on 3 April, 2023.

Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand managing director, Philip Perham, said he is proud to celebrate this momentous occasion with Taylor,

“Mark has always been a highly valued member of the Fujitsu family and has become as synonomous with the Fujitsu brand as he is with the sporting world thanks to his illustrious cricket achievements and ongoing dedication to his work. He has done a terrific job as brand ambassador for Fujitsu General by being his authentic self, a magical quality we continue to cherish,” he said.

“Mark’s bright personality and values are perfectly aligned with those of Fujitsu General, as are his well-known traits of being caring, respectful, collaborative, and inclusive. His partnership is one we value deeply and hope will continue into the future.”

Taylor is well known for his prowess on the cricket pitch, establishing himself as a vital figure in Australian cricket and becoming Australia’s 39th Test captain in 1994.

In 1999 Taylor was awarded Australian of the Year, in 2000 Taylor was awarded an Australian Sports Medal and in 2001 received the Centenary Medal for his services to the community and cricket.

In 1996, Taylor became a founding member of the Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation, which was formed to help minimise cancer’s impact on families. The foundation has raised millions of dollars since its creation, providing mobile home care units and outreach programs for children with cancer living in regional areas.

“Fujitsu General has been a proud major sponsor of the Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation. To date, Fujitsu has been able to donate more than $10 million to help fund outreach programs and explore better ways to treat and overcome cancer, particularly in children,” Perham said.

Commenting on his role as Fujitsu General’s ambassador, Taylor said it has been a joy.

“Looking back over the years, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my 25 year partnership with Fujitsu and I’m looking forward to many more years to come,” Taylor said.

“At the end of my cricketing days, I joined the Fujitsu team and we’ve had 25 wonderful years together.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed the partnership and have mutually enjoyed the success we have had together working with the team, especially across the Sporting Chance Foundation, which Fujitsu has been an incredible supporter of.

“I’ve also formed great relationships with the staff and Fujitsu dealers, who I have enjoyed spending plenty of unforgettable experiences with all over Australia.

“I can’t thank the team at Fujitsu enough for the incredible work they have done and continue to do, we look forward to continuing our great relationship,” Taylor said.
