When it comes to the business of clean air, the Camfil Group are specialists with 26 manufacturing plants, six Research and Development sites and more than 65 local sales offices across the globe.
With more than 50 years experience in filters and clean air solutions, Camfil is serious about dust control, air filtration and especially Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).
Camfil Australia managing director, John Mahar, said the company continuously invests in R&D for the future development of air filtration and also to maximise value for customers.
Headquartered in Sweden, this is where Camfil has its very own tech centre where its chemists, technicians and engineers work with the latest technology in molecular labs, IAQ labs and process development to deepen their knowledge in air filtration and dust collection.
“Designing environmental aspects into Camfil’s air filters has been a priority for years,” Mahar said.
“Not only are our filters and solutions highly efficient and save energy and other costs but our product design and process control integrates a number of eco-efficiency considerations, including the preservation of natural and fossil resources, reduction of waste and emissions, pollution risk prevention/reduction, the substitution of hazardous substances and use of recycled materials.”
Although Camfil has its HQ in Sweden, Maher said more than 95 per cent of the group’s sales are international and Camfil Australia is strongly supported by its own factories and R&D teams in Malaysia and around Asia Pacific.
The Camfil Group has around 3,900 employees and global sales are in excess of a billion dollars.
“The company established its presence in Australia in the year 2000 and we now have branch offices, warehouses or customer stock support in every state and territory,” Mahar said.
“Our indoor air filter solutions for public and commercial buildings improve and protect people’s health.
“The end solution we always strive for is clean air, free of harmful or damaging pollutants.”
Camfil solutions are used in the food and beverage industry to avoid microbiological contamination as well as hospitals and healthcare facilities and other clean process environments.
“We also have experience in microelectronics, life science, industrial applications, pulp and paper, and biosafety laboratories and our global resources, technology and know-how is second to none.”
