Daikin has once again taken a 'smart' approach to energy efficiency and performance.

For over a decade, hundreds of sites around the world have relied on Daikin inverter driven single screw compressors to reduce their running costs without compromising on climate comfort or performance.

The new EWAD-TZ chiller proves that once again Daikin can push compressor technology further to ensure the best chiller experience.

The Daikin design philosophy is simple - build the best, no compromises. The new inverter screw compressor at the heart of the ‘EWAD-TZ’ chiller range reflects this commitment to developing highly efficient systems that help to reduce energy consumption, without compromising on reliability and performance.

The EWAD-TZ chiller has the same footprint as a non-inverter unit but that is where the similarities end. Its Daikin designed compressor features a built-in inverter and Variable Volume Ratio (VVR) for optimized efficiency.

New control software uses dynamic condensing pressure management and innovative economizer control logic to further push performance, and drive down running costs.

The EWAD-TZ chiller gives end-users complete control while offering high efficiencies both at full load and part load: COP up to 3.6 and IPLV up to 7.2. To put that performance in context, the energy savings alone repay the initial investment within three years.

For process cooling, the time drops to just 12 months! All this without the need for evaporative pre-coolers, used to artificially increase chiller performance.

Silent operation

Nothing is more disturbing than the sound of machinery. The EWAD-TZ chiller range has been specially engineered to reduce sound levels under both full and part load operations.

It features a unique Daikin fan design that incorporates variable fan velocity and additional vibration damping combined with a new inverter driven compressor with special acoustic attenuation.

The EWAD-TZ keeps installation space at a minimum, so it’s ideal for both new and retrofit projects. In particular, the highly efficient compressor with its integrated inverter allows Daikin to mount more compact heat exchangers in the frame, combined with the integrated compact control panel to deliver more power from a reduced footprint.

To ensure maximum reliability in every component the chillers and compressors are subjected to intensive performance, acoustic, endurance and vibration tests in Daikin factories and at selected job sites in extreme working conditions.
